Member of the most beautiful bays in the world club
World Heritage listed Mont St. Michel Bay in France, Viet Nam’s Halong Bay, and other world famous bays, such as San Francisco Bay in the U.S. have joined forces to promote tourism and conservation activities as members of the “World’s Most Beautiful Bay Club” (Established 1997). In October 2014, Toyama Bay became a member of this exclusive club.
Surrounded by mountains reaching 3,000m above sea level, and an ocean 1,000m deep, Toyama’s dynamic topography difference of 4,000m makes for one of the world’s most unique landscapes, and from this rich marine environment comes a wide variety of the freshest seafoods.
