In this museum, visitors may learn about the history of Kamaboko*, special features of Toyama's Kamaboko (compared with other prefectures) and watch live demonstrations of Kamaboko decoration performed by staff skilled in the art. The museum also has a Kamaboko shop, where visitors can enjoy tasting several different kinds of the product.*Kamaboko is a processed food made from white fish meat made into a seasoned paste, steamed and typically pressed into a semicylindrical shape on a strip of wood.
