Hida-no-Sato (Hida Folk Village) Hands-on Activity Program
In this village, visitors can observe some old restored private houses in the Hida area, including four houses designated important cultural assets, learn about the seasonal events of olden times and gain a sense of how people once lived in these rural villages.

- In this village, visitors can observe "Gassho"- the well-renowned private houses of the Hida area which have a steep thatched or shingle roof. Traditional fork utensils and everyday tools can be found inside the houses, and there are demonstrations and hands-on activity classes of straw work, "Sashiko" quilting needlework or "chidori-goshi" wooden craft available.
