Ichinokura Sakazuki Art Museum

Ichinokura Sakazuki Art Museum

Located in Mino, an area to the south of Gifu Prefecture renowned as the largest producer of ceramics in Japan, lies Ichinokura - a place that produces the most intricate and high quality sakazuki (sake cups) and sencha-ki (utensils for making green tea). People drink sake from Sakazuki cups at important stages in their lives such as marriage or the birth of a child, and in this museum you can discover what makes these treasured cups so appealing.
