Shuzenji Niji-no-Sato
Niji-no-Sato has both a British and Canadian village section and some beautiful Japanese gardens within a 50-hectare area surrounded by nature. Visitors can observe a wide variety of flowers and trees, regardless of the season, and enjoy watching the rhododendron woods, wisteria, iris and hydrangea in the Japanese garden and the rose flower blooms in the fairy garden. There is also an opportunity to make traditional crafts in Takumi-Artisan village, where there are several old thatched roofed houses surrounded by maple trees. In Izu village, there is a street with many shops selling local special products. A steam locomotive with a 15-inch gauge made in Britain runs as a means of transportation in Niji-no-Sato.
