Koubei-gama (Koubei Kiln)
The kiln was founded in 1804 by Koubei Kato the First. The old folk residence is home to an impressive collection of ceramic works and furnishings gathered from around the world. In the neighboring Sakutoukan studio, visitors can experience making utensils by hand forming overlapped loops of clay or through using a potter's wheel.
