Koukando Shiryoukan
Toyama's pharmaceutical industry has developed from a 300-year tradition of Etchu baiyaku, a selling method by which traveling salesmen delivered a set of different kinds of medicines to families, who would then pay only for the medicines they had used at a later date. In this museum, visitors can learn how Etchu-baiyaku affected and nurtured the pharmaceutical industry in Toyama during the tide of modernization.
